NACC is campaigning for improved healthcare and funds for vital research and, as part of that, are asking people to Step Up and Be Counted.

Welcome to the BCK website

We are your Local Crohn's and Colitis UK Organising Team and are here to support those with Colitis and Crohns and their carers. We aim to do this using the NACC guidelines.

  • We will hold Educational meetings.
  • We will produce newsletters
  • We, with your help, will raise funds*
  • We will take every opportunity to raise awareness of Colitis & Crohns through publicity

*The group is entirely self-funded and run by volunteers. We raise all money to produce and send the newsletter, to hold meetings, and for any events that we attend to raise awareness. Any money we have left over at the end of the year we give to the main charity funds to help with research and to support others.

We are enthusiastic and committed to our group and it’s development, and value your support and help to achieve our aim. The group is here for you and we would love to hear what you would like from your group. Please email, call or write to us with your ideas or comments.

BRADFORD CITY FOOTBALL CLUB FUN DAY- a really good relaxed day was had by all, and hopefully a few more people have now heard about IBD (including some little ones!) the BCK team held a Yorkshire Quiz and the first prize (£25 vouchers) was awarded to Mrs M McCallum, who kindly asked for the prize money to stay with the group. Second prize (£10 argos vouchers) went to Amreen Akhtar.

YORK WALK & GHOST WALK - both were a fantastic success and we look forward to getting involved again next year. It was definitely helped by the glorious weather!! the ice cream stalls have never been so busy!

Can you help?? We would love to hear from you if you have a few hours to spare to help us with our activities, such as standing on an information stand, helping to set up for meetings, delivering posters etc. If you have some time that you can spare and would like to be added to our volunteer list then please contact us. Even an hour a year can help us to increase awareness and understanding for those with Crohn's and Colitis.
